ABOUT JIU JITSU

In the early 20th century, Mitsuyo Maeda, a master of Japanese jujistu and judo, immigrated to Brazil, where taught his system to the Gracie Family. They continued to refine and develop this system which today we call Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is a Martial Art and combat sport that focuses on grappling, leverage and proper technique, with the goal of gaining a dominant position from which to force an attacker to submit. BJJ can be trained for self-defence, sport grappling tournaments and MMA competitions.

ABOUT BOXING

Boxing, also called pugilism, Western Boxing, or the sweet science (a common nickname among fans), is a sport and martial art in which two participants of similar weight fight each other with their fists in a series of one to three-minute intervals called “rounds”. In both Olympic and professional divisions, the combatants (called boxers or fighters) avoid their opponent’s punches while trying to land punches of their own. Points are awarded for clean, solid blows to the legal area on the front of the opponent’s body above the waistline, with hits to the head and torso being especially valuable.
